A catch-all mailbox is one that gathers all the emails sent to inactive addresses. For instance, if your email address is info@domain.com, but somebody miswrites it and sends a message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have created. Just one mailbox per domain name can have this feature enabled and thus you’ll never miss messages because the other side has an obsolete address or has made a spelling mistake. The negative aspect of configuring a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving a lot of junk email messages, but this issue can be fixed by using anti-spam filtering software. It is also crucial to bear in mind that a mailbox with an activated catch-all feature cannot redirect incoming messages to a third-party address.

Catch-all Emails in Web Hosting
If you host a domain name on our cloud platform and you have a
web hosting account, you’ll be able to enable the catch-all functionality for any email mailbox that you create under the domain name. The Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section comes with quite a lot of functions, but it’s very easy to work with, so configuring a catch-all mailbox requires just a single click. All the email addresses that you’ve set up will be enumerated in this section alphabetically and you will only need to click on the "Catch-all" button associated with the specific address. Our system will warn you if there is already another catch-all mailbox enabled for that domain or if the one that you want to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either turn off the latter feature or choose a different mailbox. Disabling the catch-all feature is just as easy and takes one more mouse click on the same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting
You will be able to set up a catch-all address with no more than a click in case you’ve got a

All the addresses that you set up using any domain hosted in your semi-dedicated hosting account will be listed in the Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Each of them will have a mini "Catch-all" icon on its right-hand side, so all it will take to activate this functionality will be to click that icon. In the same way you’ll be able to turn off the feature, in case you don’t need it any longer. Our system will warn you in case you’re attempting to activate a 2nd catch-all address for a given domain name or if there is activated email forwarding, but it will never change or deactivate anything automatically and without your approval.
